The Specialist Media Network on LinkedIn has grown to a community of over 700 specialist media professionals in the last two years.  It’s a great place for ambitious niche publishers to network and share experiences of taking their media brands across print, events and digital media.

The Specialist Media Network now also has a presence on the Specialist Media Show site, with a dedicated members-only area with practical content available to download, including PDFs of conference & workshop presentations and research commissioned among publishers.

“The Specialist Media Show itself generates a host of practical content for niche publishers, and this members-only section allows show visitors to catch up on the sessions they missed, and refer to them all year round” explained MD Carolyn Morgan.

Registration as a member of the Specialist Media Network is free, and once members have a login they can access the content from anywhere.  Members will have to sign up separately for the LinkedIn group and need a LinkedIn account to take part.

Members of the Specialist Media Network will automatically receive a regular e-newsletter, and will be notified as new content is added to the members section.

Specialist Media Show site has moved to SubHub

To create the Specialist Media Network members section, the website has been transferred to the SubHub platform, which was designed to make membership content sites accessible to independent publishers.  If you have recently transferred a site you will know that it is a complex process, so do bear with us if you find the odd broken link.

We’re also delighted to welcome SubHub as event partners to the Specialist Media Show.  Their experts will be contributing practical articles to the website over the coming months.  SubHub focus on creating a user-friendly platform for niche content publishers.  It’s built on Drupal, which is open source and highly robust.  The platform is designed to be scalable as publishers’ needs develop, with a low-cost basic version, and a series of plug in applications allowing email integration, galleries, video, paid membership, PDF downloads and more.
